VP, Business Development - Solidgate Tax
Solidgate is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic sales leader to join our team as VP, of Business Development, Indirect Tax Solutions. This pivotal role will drive the growth of Solidgate Tax, our stand-alone indirect tax platform designed to simplify US sales tax, GST, and VAT for businesses worldwide.
Our product stands out in the market with its cost-effectiveness, pay-per-use model, and exceptionally user-friendly design — eliminating the need for long-term contracts. Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition: Drive sales initiatives targeting digital goods providers, SaaS companies, and B2C online businesses.
- Sales Leadership: Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for Solidgate Tax, focusing on European businesses selling globally.
- Tax Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of US sales tax and global VAT to consult clients and tailor solutions to their needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to establish Solidgate Tax as a leader in indirect tax software.

Requirements
- Proficiency in US sales tax and global VAT, with a deep understanding of compliance challenges for businesses.
- Proven success in sales or business development roles, ideally within SaaS, fintech, or tax technology.
- At least 5 years of experience at a Senior Manager / Director level (for example, at a Big Four company), with a proven track record of client acquisition.
- Experience working with European tech clients, especially digital goods providers, SaaS businesses, and B2C online enterprises.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
- Big Four experience would be a great advantage (50% of our non-tech management are professionals from Big Four companies)
